Ted is an English-qualified solicitor and advises on matters of English law. He also qualified as an Avocat in France and is a member of the Paris bar. Ted advises and represents clients across the marine sector, including the offshore wind sector. He has very substantial experience of shipbuilding contracts, the sale and purchase of ships, ship finance, charter parties, ship management and complex multijurisdictional disputes. Ted advises clients on a wide range of matters including the chartering of ships, restructuring of financial commitments, the rescission of contracts, the drawing of guarantees, the construction of prototype vessels, delay in vessel construction, warranty and insurance issues, shipping pool arrangements, distressed vessel sales. Ted’s experience spans all types of vessels, including offshore installation vessels and super yachts. He acts for clients in contentious matters, including London arbitration. Ted has established LEBUHN & PUCHTA’s deep sea mining practice group.
Ted often is mentioned in different legal publications, for example the recommendation in the newest German editon 2018 of “WHO’S WHO Legal” as “shipping law specialist”. He also is consistently named in the JUVE handbook, including in 2016/2017 edition, as a “frequently recommended lawyer”.
